Little blessings

There are always things to be happy about. Everyday. But sometimes there are bigger things, more pressing things that grab our attention instead. Well in the past 24 hrs, I’ve been able to count some pretty sweet, little blessings and I just had to share.

Last night I ordered Christmas photo cards from Cardstore.com  I love Christmas cards but I hate how much they cost, and addressing them, and buy stamps, etc. Well I received a coupon code for 75% off that is good until 12/11. It also included free shipping. Better yet, cardstore will address and stamp your mail for you for FREE! So, I didn’t have to cut anyone off my list this year and I purchased 61 stamped, addressed cards and paid….$28.85. True story. INSANE! ( code is THANKS4U  )

This morning I woke up….to my alarm. Not my sweet 4 year old angel screaming, “Mommy, I went poo poo!” Not my snuggable little baby boy shrieking on the monitor. I was able to get up, BRUSH MY TEETH people- I mean, a near miracle- get dressed, make my bed and take out the dog before anyone else was up. THANK YOU JESUS

Then I headed to Target today in search of an affordable black blazer. I scoured the aisles and found nothing that got me excited. AND THEN on the 50% off rack, ONE black blazer, cropped, adorable neckline IN MY SIZE…. $14. Yes please.

Stopped by the consignment store and picked up a check for $19.11. Thank you very much.

Next door is this great kid’s consignment place. I walked in and was browsing because, let’s be honest…I don’t want to pay $40 for a brand new woody and Jessie for Gab for Christmas…I know they’ll end up on the bottom of our toy box and Pixar will write another movie about it. So when the lady working there asked me if she could help with anything, I asked if they had any Woody or Jessie dolls. She laughed and said, “You must have known…” Then walked behind the counter and reached underneath. She pulled out a Jessie doll and said, “I’ve had her in my home for 3 years and just brought her in today; she’s all yours. Merry Christmas!”  FOR REALS?? Divine intervention!

After all of my good fortune I wanted to be a little blessing to someone too. So my last stop was Taco Bell (that’s right) to surprise Gabbi at school with her favorite…a bean burrito with no cheese. Added bonus, they added a black bean burrito to their menu, so I order one for Brent and that little protein-protesting booger ate almost the whole thing.

And it’s naptime How did get so lucky??

  1. Love these little stories! I call them "God Winks." I'm totally ordering my cards tomorrow...if I can get my addresses in order!
